- Diane reminded the committee that all agendas and minutes can be found on the Academic Senate Committee Webpage
Review January In-Service Schedule (Jan. 7-15, 2021)
- During the Academic Senate and Faculty Association meetings prior to the 11/11 PDC meeting Diane asked for areas of interest for January 2021 in-service. Lori Travis would like a session on best practices for online teaching. Chris Taylor suggested having a panel of faculty members facilitate the session on best practices for online teaching. Marianne sent out resources about best practices back In May.
- Diane Jones reported that Sharyn Eveland suggested the AS Professional Development College as a possible professional development opportunity for Faculty. Diane suggested this could be promoted in Faculty reports. Marianne Bishop wants to survey the Faculty to find out what distance education topics should be presented during January 2021 in-service. Marianne said that the Distance Education department wanted to present on New Quizzes in Canvas, Proctorio, and/or Canvas Studio. Results of the survey will be provided to the PD committee prior to our December meeting. Diane will ask Leslie to facilitate the Student Engagement presentation during in-service.

- PDC Charter was approved at Academic Senate on 11/02/20.
