APPROVAL OF MINUTES: From the August 19, 2015 Curriculum & General Education meeting

On a motion by S. Eveland, seconded by G. Golling, and unanimously carried, the minutes from the August 19, 2015 Curriculum and General Education meeting were approved.

On a motion by G. Golling, seconded by S. Eveland, and unanimously carried, the consent items were approved to moved forward to the October 14, 2015 District Board meeting.

 

NEW BUSINESS

Course Updates

 

  1. PHYS      2223       General Physics- addition of extensive lab

On a motion by B. Devine, seconded by S. Eveland, and unanimously carried, the course updates to PHYS 2223 were approved to move forward to the October 14, 2015 District Board meeting. On a motion by S. Eveland, seconded by G. Golling, and unanimously carried, the addition of extensive lab was approved to move forward to the October, 14, 2015 District Board meeting.

 

  1. BIOL       2201       Introductory Biology- Cells

On a motion by B. Devine, seconded by K. Carlson, and unanimously carried, the course updates to BIOL 2201 was approved to move forward to the October 14, 2015 District Board meeting.

 

  1. BIOL       2203       General Botany

After discussion regarding the schedule and questions regarding the distribution of grades in the past, the course updates to BIOL 2203 were tabled by the division chair.

 

  1. BUSN    1601       Beginning Keyboarding
  2. BUSN    1602       Beginning Keyboarding
  3. BUSN    1603       Beginning Keyboarding

After discussion regarding the baccalaureate level of the courses, the course updates to BUSN 1601, 1602, and 1603 were tabled by the division chair.

 

  1. BUSN    2001       Intermediate Keyboarding
  2. BUSN    2002       Intermediate Keyboarding
  3. BUSN    2003       Intermediate Keyboarding

On a motion by S. Eveland, seconded by K. Carlson, and unanimously accrued, the course updates to BUSN 2001, 2002, and 2003 were approved to move forward to the October 14, 2015 the District Board meeting.
