President Payne welcomed faculty.
A motion to approve the May 2021 minutes was made by Adam Bledsoe with a 2nd from Dave Mitchell. The motion was unanimously approved.
President Payne introduced this year’s officers and bargaining team.

Treasurer, Dave Mitchell, reported an overall balance of $15513.13 excluding payment for 20-21 scholarships for $2180 and before lunch. President Payne encouraged new and continuing FA members to contact Dave for that new member forms and CTA membership questions.
President Payne reported that the 21-22 plan was to keep the evaluation process as close to normal as possible. All procedures and forms are posted online and division chairs should be receiving a list of faculty that need the required evaluation.
President Payne encouraged all faculty to review their annual Faculty Service Area for errors and to remember to submit the overload election by the September 7th deadline.
President Payne reported that all faculty members should expect to receive their annual flex/sick statements by September 1st.
President Payne reminded faculty of the right to FA representation when meeting with administration.
9. Taft College Faculty Collective Bargaining Committee (TCFCBC) Update Mask MOU Compensation 2021-2022 President Payne shared that in the August bargaining meeting Administration requested that compensation be postponed until receipt of the 2021 Frey Report. Voluntary Severance Package President Payne updated the faculty that administration had elected to not offer a severance package for this academic year. Sabbaticals for 22-23 President Payne updated the faculty that an email from the President would be sent out updating faculty with the status of sabbaticals for the 2022/23 academic year. 2021-22 Agenda Topics President Payne opened the floor for faculty recommendations on bargaining topics. Faculty were encouraged to email topics to Bargaining Team.
Faculty shared their continued concern over the void left by no longer having a Testing Center. President Payne reminded faculty of the pending training video on the new electronic timesheet. President Payne reported that additional mask signage would be posted around campus. President Payne reported that mailroom and copy room access would be added to key cards for after hours access.
