Minutes	Taft College Faculty Association Minutes for August 17, 2021 Welcome & Introductions President Payne welcomed faculty. Approval of Minutes A motion to approve the May 2021 minutes was made by Adam Bledsoe with a 2^nd from Dave Mitchell. The motion was unanimously approved. Introductions President Payne introduced this year’s officers and bargaining team. Officers President Ruby Payne Vice-President Greg Golling Secretary Juana Rangel-Escobedo Treasurer Dave Mitchell Bargaining Team Ruby Payne (Pres.) Greg Golling (VP) Juana Rangel-Escobedo Mike Mayfield David Mitchell Chris Flachmann Adam Bledsoe Treasurer’s Report Treasurer, Dave Mitchell, reported an overall balance of $15513.13 excluding payment for 20-21 scholarships for $2180 and before lunch. President Payne encouraged new and continuing FA members to contact Dave for that new member forms and CTA membership questions. Faculty Evaluations President Payne reported that the 21-22 plan was to keep the evaluation process as close to normal as possible. All procedures and forms are posted online and division chairs should be receiving a list of faculty that need the required evaluation. FSA and Overload pay President Payne encouraged all faculty to review their annual Faculty Service Area for errors and to remember to submit the overload election by the September 7^th deadline. Sick Leave and Flex Statement President Payne reported that all faculty members should expect to receive their annual flex/sick statements by September 1^st. Meeting with Administration President Payne reminded faculty of the right to FA representation when meeting with administration. 9. Taft College Faculty Collective Bargaining Committee (TCFCBC) Update Mask MOU President Payne reviewed the details of the PowerPoint guidance from administration, including guidance for quarantine and class protocols. Given the fluid nature of state mandates, the current MOU was intended to capture the requirements of the moment. A motion to approve the Mask MOU was made by Sharyn Eveland with a 2^nd from Deborah Rodenhauser. The motion was unanimously approved with 1 vote against and 1 abstain. Compensation 2021-2022 President Payne shared that in the August bargaining meeting Administration requested that compensation be postponed until receipt of the 2021 Frey Report. Voluntary Severance Package President Payne updated the faculty that administration had elected to not offer a severance package for this academic year. Sabbaticals for 22-23 President Payne updated the faculty that an email from the President would be sent out updating faculty with the status of sabbaticals for the 2022/23 academic year. 2021-22 Agenda Topics President Payne opened the floor for faculty recommendations on bargaining topics. Faculty were encouraged to email topics to Bargaining Team. Other Faculty shared their continued concern over the void left by no longer having a Testing Center. President Payne reminded faculty of the pending training video on the new electronic timesheet. President Payne reported that additional mask signage would be posted around campus. President Payne reported that mailroom and copy room access would be added to key cards for after hours access. Meeting adjourned.
