Welcome

President Payne welcomed faculty.

Approval of Minutes from August meeting

A motion to approve the minutes was made by Diane Jones with a 2^nd from Darcy Bogle.  The motion was unanimously approved.

Treasurer’s Report
Treasurer, David Mitchell, reported an overall balance of $5455.22. David shared that new member forms and CTA membership cards would be mailed out.  President Payne reminded the faculty that yearly CTA membership card with membership number were attached to the back cover of the Educator magazine.

   2. 2020-21 Compensation (COLA 2.32%) (1^st reading at Sept. Board Mtg.)

President Payne shared that the Frey Report increase of 2.32% increase in would have the first board reading in September, with the second reading scheduled in October.  President Payne indicated she would keep the faculty updated on the retro payment schedule as soon as it was developed by the Business Office.

President Payne shared that a subcommittee was formed to discuss the 2022-23 academic calendar.  President Payne shared that the continued interests of the faculty for the Thanksgiving week would be presented at the meeting.

Updated Salary Schedules for 2020-21

President Payne shared that the updated salary schedules would be posted to the Faculty Association website as soon as the salary increase was approved by the board.

Other

President Payne shared that a thank you card was received from Damaris Hernandez-Gill.

President Payne shared that 2020-2023 Collective Bargaining Agreement was now available online.

President Payne reminded tenure track faculty who are in their evaluation cycle that an email with the timeline and instructions was sent out by HR.

President Payne invited faculty to volunteer for the Ad Hoc committe of the Academic Senate as it was in need of additional faculty members.

President Payne reminded the faculty that the yearly STRS statement was available for review online.  CCA is holding virtual retirement and resource review meetings.
