The matrix is a compilation of the ACCJC Standards relative to SLOs, activities to support the standards and the evidence. A column has been added for gap analysis. Vicki will email this document out to the committee. A lengthy conversation was had regarding SLOs and the changes happening in this area pertaining to accreditation.

Vicki shared a signature assignment for Quantitative Reasoning. She reviewed a rough draft,
“Give each student a relevant chart specific to the discipline; either a chart, a diagram or a table, or a graph and have them convert it to relevant information. Interpret the data. Apply judgement to draw conclusions based on assumptions to support an argument”. The idea is to have all faculty use this in their classes in order to assess the Quantitative Reasoning ISLO. If only a few disciplines use this assessment, it could start the conversation and give a general idea how our students are doing.
