{"id":54,"date":"2015-06-04T15:08:15","date_gmt":"2015-06-04T15:08:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ct-test-wp.taftcollege.edu\/sloasc\/?p=52"},"modified":"2015-06-04T15:08:15","modified_gmt":"2015-06-04T15:08:15","slug":"friday-january-20-2012","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/committees.taftcollege.edu\/sloasc\/friday-january-20-2012\/","title":{"rendered":"Friday, January 20, 2012"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>MINUTES <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Friday, January 20, 2012<\/p>\n<p>12:10 p.m. \u2013 1:00 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Present: Linda West, Vicki Herder, Geoffrey Dyer, Greg Golling, David Reynolds, Brandy Cramer, David Layne<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong> Approval of Minutes from December 2, 2011 <\/strong>The Minutes from December 2, 2011 were approved unanimously without changes.<\/li>\n<li><strong> Discuss Planning Days <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>The comments from the program review evaluation were reviewed. The issue of timing for planning days was discussed along with the program review process. One possible solution suggested was to start the process during winter inservice. It was also suggested that the timeline be examined, adjusted and taken back to the governance council for review.<\/li>\n<li>The program review and budget allocation process was discussed along with program goals and ranking. There were no action items regarding this discussion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><strong> SLO Assessment status <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>The need to look at the effectiveness of SLOs was briefly discussed.<\/li>\n<li>The need to reform\/revise the Gen Ed SLOs and ISLOs was briefly discussed.<\/li>\n<li>These two items will be future agenda items.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li><strong> Spring 2012 Semester \u2013 Direction <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>The SLO website will be up and running soon.<\/li>\n<li>Workshops for adjunct faculty will be provided.<\/li>\n<li>The need to focus on authentic assessment and student awareness regarding SLOs will need to be addressed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li><strong> Other <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>The committee decided to meet on the third Friday of each month.<\/li>\n<li>Participation of faculty on this committee will be worth one committee assignment.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/ct-test-wp.taftcollege.edu\/sloasc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2015\/06\/Minutes-1-20-12.pdf\" class=\"mtli_attachment mtli_pdf\">Minutes-1-20-12<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;  MINUTES   Friday, January 20, 2012  12:10 p.m. \u2013 1:00 p.m.  Present: Linda West, Vicki Herder, Geoffrey Dyer, Greg Golling, David Reynolds, Brandy Cramer, David Layne    Approval of Minutes from December 2, 2011 The Minutes from December 2, 2011 were approved unanimously without changes.
