How to change your password

In this short tutorial you’ll learn how to change your password. Before you can change your password you will need to have logged in. If you have not yet logged in, please see the How to Log in tutorial.
If you are having problems logging in please contact Jason at ext 7948 or click here to send an email.

Step 1: Find your profile.

Once you’ve logged in you will see a black bar at the top of your web browser window. To the far right side you’ll see the text Howdy, <YourName> where, YourName is your username. Please see the figure to the right.

Step 2: Edit your profile.

Click on Edit My Profile

Step 3: Changing your password

Scroll all the way to the bottom of your profile. Here you’ll find a button that says “Generate Password“. I know what you’re thinking “But Jason, I wanted to make my own password I didn’t want to generate a giant string of random characters that I’ll never remember” that’s okay, just delete what’s in the box that appears when you press Generate Password, and you can write in whatever you would like.

If you use a very simple password you may have to check the “Confirm use of weak password” checkbox of shame. The password box will tell you how weak or strong your password is. Please don’t use a weak password if you can avoid it.

Step 4: Updating your profile.

Finally press the “Update Profile” button, and you’re good to go.

And that’s it, you’ve updated your password.
